About this event

A course for people who have done some linocutting, whether on a beginners’ course or on their own, and who want to be more confident about translating their designs into print.

At the end of the course, you will have learned about ways to transfer your design onto your block, inking techniques and introducing more than one colour to your print.

Do you know how to hold a linocutting tool but are stuck on how to translate your design into a print? This is the course for you. In the morning, you will be taught about different ways of transferring your design, inking options and introducing multiple colours into your print. After that, this day will provide you guidance and support on printing your design. You will be able to use the resources in the Printworks, but if you have your own favourite cutting tools already, feel free to bring those.

To make the most of the time in the studio, it would be great if you could bring along a design you want to base your print on. You will be able to use the resources in the Printworks, but if you have your own favourite cutting tools already, feel free to bring those.
