Come to a meeting about the New Wivenhoe Market. If you are a local maker, producer, grower, craft person or can offer some positive input and ideas about rebirth of the new market then please come along. Please share.
Wivenhoe Farmers Market is changing: enform has decided they are no longer able to run the market and a local group will take it over – if we can get enough interest and support.
The hope is that the new Wivenhoe Market will be launched in July and will take place on the 3rd Saturday of the month. The idea is that it will be a local makers and producers market with an emphasis on Refill , Re-use ,and Zero Waste, supporting the work already underway to create a more sustainable and cohesive town.
The thinking is that there will be makers and menders, workshops and food producers and things for children to do. We will be attempting to use as little plastic as is possible and are taking a zero waste approach. Other routes and ideas can arise from whoever wants to get involved.
We would welcome as many people with ideas, with relevant local knowledge and networks and with enthusiasm to be part of creating an exciting, vibrant and binding resource for Wivenhoe.
If you like the sound of this and if feel you have something to contribute whether as a potential stallholder or workshop facilitator or have any ideas, however big, medium or small, then please come to:
The Print Studio, 23/24 Wivenhoe Business Park, Brook Street, CO7 9DP on THURSDAY 10TH MAY at 7.00pm
Please ring or text 07733262474 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for any more information and/or to let us know if you are coming
