The Wivenhoe Christmas 2019 Art Trail opens Friday 29th November and continues on through to the middle of December at various locations throughout Wivenhoe. It’s a chance to look round sixteen local venues and art spaces, have a relaxed chat to the artists and craft-makers, and maybe buy some attractive and unique but also very affordable pieces of work.
Friday November 29th… Just one big arty party!
To kick off this programme of open studios and maker spaces, no less than nine out of the sixteen ‘Art Trail’ venues are flinging open their doors on Friday 29th November from 5-8pm with the offer of drinks, snacks and a very warm welcome to all.
As one of this select three-quarter dozen, Wivenhoe Printworks (7) invites you to drop in on us for a drink, sample some of our excellent mince pies and savoury snacks, share some great company and get a chance to have a good look round… along with our lovely neighbours Charlotte Bernays (8) and the Railway Glass Studio (9) who are also nearby here, right in the heart of the Wivenhoe Business Centre. And with Artist-potter Catherine Dodds (10), plus the renowned ‘bricoleur’ Alison Stockmarr, and the redoubtable photographer Richard Hayward (12) together with the wonderful painter/illustrator Jane Watson (13) all within just a short trot, there are at least half a dozen warm welcomes within easy reach on the Friday opening night… so come on, follow the Wivenhoe Christmas Art Trail and celebrate the winter warmth of Wivenhoe Art at it’s very best!
