A day of using screens with stencils – simple hand-cut paper shapes and natural forms such as leaves – to make multi-coloured and exciting compositions.
During this fun and creative day participants will be inspired by the work of artists who have used these techniques in their work. Course participants will print on both fabric and paper and come to understand the difference between the two, as well as experimenting with a wide range of colours, patterns and materials.
The course fee includes 2 small ‘Tote’ bags to print for your own use. Further bags will be available to buy. Feel free to bring along a t-shirt to up-cycle or plain fabric to decorate. The techniques learned will be ones that you could choose to continue to do at home with your own equipment. Info on necessary equipment and materials will be provided on request.
Sign-up and take part in this course and you will have thoroughly enjoyable day exploring this quick and simple way of making images, you will take home prints on paper, tote bags and scrap-fabric pieces galore for home crafting or up-cycling!
