January: the days are still short, the nights long, the weather often grey and dismal – so let’s celebrate this time of year by drawing together – and studying the light and the darkness.
“Put light against light – you have nothing. Put dark against dark – you have nothing. It’s the contrast of light and dark that each give the other one meaning” (Bob Ross)
With a maximum of six people in this session, we will use individually lit drawing boards and working in otherwise total darkness to draw tonally from a range of interesting still life objects – strongly lit to create contrast.
This will not be a taught session – it will be facilitated by Natalie Eldred, and participants are encouraged to discuss and explore various techniques etc while they work.
There will be time for a quick get-together at the start of the session and some drinks and snacks will be provided, at the end, an optional friendly discussion of any work produced.
The session is priced very reasonably, to cover costs. This is not a taught session so there are no tutor fees and Natalie will be participating in the session alongside other participants.
