This is a repeat of the highly successful two-day course run over the weekend by Brightlingsea-based printmaker, Simon Peecock.
Simon is an expert in both lino cut and woodcut. In this course he will show you how to make a series of lino cut prints using the reduction technique for adding colour. You will come away with a series of prints in two colours.
Simon is a knowledgeable and patient teacher and will guide you expertly through this process.
Please bring a starting image or sketch that will use two colours (or one colour plus black) as a starring point to help you work out how you plan to cut your lino block.
firstname.lastname@example.org before booking if you have any queries. We will also be running some day or half-day intro courses in basic linocut. Please email email@example.com if you would like more details of basic courses.
Simon’s taught sessions finish around 1:30pm but the workshop will be open and we will be around if anyone wants to carry on working on their prints through the afternoons. This will give you some additional time to run off prints on the Saturday and have them drying overnight ready to overprint on the Sunday.
Teas and coffees will as usual be in plentiful supply throughout the days!
Bookings are closed for this event.
